Try This 10.4

A Grieving Heart

You navigate these words, lamenting in this Great Loss,
the fading warmth, colder than the remembered flames, the forget-me-nots blooming despair,
their touch always lingering.
But the impressions will whisper away, with comfort
of their smiles and adoration.
Soon the weary Heart will hum along a precious tune
over and over of treasured memories.
When the flowers unfurl, finally breathing in that summer sun
and the grieving soul will rest their muddled thoughts a while.
Finally, the Heart can melt its troublesome worries and sigh, for the last time, just like those lost
with Love.

10.1 (second prompt)

Phenylalanine is music with a lot of "happy", electronic sounds, particularly that of synths. It is frequently followed by upbeat vocals and lyrics, and is comparable to EDM music. A song in the Phenylalanine genre is usually fast paced, with a strong bass or drum line that makes people want to dance.

Chapter 11 Warm-up

Brad: Hey, there's my girl! Morning Alex!

Alex: You're late, Brad. Again.

Brad: Am I? Whoops. My bad.

Alex: That's all you have to say? "My bad?" Do you know how long I've been sitting here waiting for you, alone?

Brad: Don't be so dramatic; it couldn't have been that long.

Alex: We agreed to meet at 10.

Brad: Right, and it's only... 11:45.

Alex: And you don't see anything wrong with that? You didn't even bother to send me a text.

Brad: I mean, I could have been even later, right? At least I showed up.

Alex: Unbelievable.

Brad: ...you're upset.

Alex: Yes, Brad, I am.

Brad: Come on, it's such a nice day, let's not start off like this. Please? I'd really rather not argue in the park of all places.

Alex: ...

Brad: Babe, you know how it is, I slept through the alarm and-

Alex: You say that every time.

Brad: Do I?

Alex: You do.

Brad: Okay so, maybe I do. But it's the truth!

Alex: Whatever... you gonna sit down or not?

Brad: Sure! So! What's the plan?

Alex: You know, while I was sitting here, waiting, I think I figured out exactly what I want to do today.

Brad: Let's hear it then!

Alex: Well, I was going to go grab breakfast, but I've been sitting here so long waiting for you I may as well just go straight to lunch.

Brad: You know, lunch does sound pretty great right about now!

Alex: Right...So, after I eat, I was thinking of hitting up that bookstore that opened up down the street, I've been meaning to go there all week. My favorite author just put out a new book, I'm thinking I'll pick up a copy today.

Brad: Sounds boring, but okay, I'll tag along.

Alex: And I think I'll take it easy today and go see a movie afterwards. Maybe meet up with my friends there. There's a rom-com that just came out that I've been dying to see. I'll see how I feel afterwards, maybe I'll grab a few drinks afterwards.

Brad: Cool, cool... but um, I'm noticing a lot of 'I's" and not a lot of "we's" in these plans?

Alex: Oh? Yeah, I guess so. Funny.

Brad: Did I do something wrong? I mean, besides coming late?

Alex: I dunno, depends. Can you tell me what today is?

Brad: What today...? Uh... it's Tuesday, isn't it?

Alex: Tuesday, April 4th, actually. Doesn't ring any bells?

Brad: ....no?

Alex: It's my birthday, Brad.

Brad: Oh...oh! Oh shit, I'm so sorry!

Alex: I'm sure you are. You were last year too.

Brad: No no, really Alex, I'm so sorry! It totally slipped my mind, you know with everything going on and-

Alex: I'm sure you've got plenty to think about. Why worry about your girlfriend's 25th birthday of all things?

Brad: Alex, you know I wouldn't do this on purpose! Look, I'll take you to that stupid bookstore or whatever and you can pick out whatever you want and -

Alex: No no, I understand, it's okay Brad. Look, since you're so busy, I'm gonna go ahead and get out of your hair and go enjoy myself. You were right, lunch is a great idea right about now.

Brad: But -

Alex: And while we're at it, I'll do you another solid. You don't have to wory about being on time to see your girlfriend if you don't have one anymore.

Brad: Alex-!

Alex: You know, it really is a nice day, you should try relaxing too. See ya.

Chapter 9:Warm UP

They are a pair of archeologists who have been working together for some time, Heather and Diana. They've arrived in an arctic region to explore a series of caverns, hoping to find samples of prehistoric life. There is a dreamlike, ethereal quality to everything. They dive deep into the caverns and come to an opening, and are surprised to find an expansive, modern city inside.

While standing aghast of the spectacle and discussing what their course of action should be, they are confronted by a man in a finely tailored suit, who seems unperturbed to be dressed that way in the extreme cold; he doesn't introduce himself, only says a brief hello before walking away. Both women are completely put off by how nonchalant the man is behaving, and determine that this place must be in a realm entirely of it's own; how could it be possible that an entire city would be thriving under these conditions, unknown to the world?

Heather's immediate reaction is that they should report back to the crew and return to better study the area, excited at the prospect of making such a discovery and how it will boost her career. Diana doesn't see the need to announce it the world so soon; being older, she's had a successful career already and doesn't want to upset the balance of what seems to be a peaceful existence, let alone get involved in something so bizarre. Heather doesn't want to give up the opportunity, and compromises that they should explore the city and then decide what to do with the information, and so the pair decide to push on...

A "Trivial" Matter (3.12)

Unbelievable. Just absolutely UN-BE-LIEVABLE.... I work a full shift, I bust my ass going to school, and what do I come home to, yet again? An empty ice cream carton. And not just any old empty ice cream carton, oh no sir. No no, it's the Triple Chocolate Deluxe ice cream that I bought specifically for me and myself only to enjoy after a hard day of work.  I have been dreaming of opening that carton all day. And what do I come home to? Nothing. A big ol' box of nothing. Do you know how insulting that is? The sheer amount of disrespect being thrown at me?  There are so many things to eat in this household and while I'm gone my father has to go and eat the one thing I was saving for myself, the one thing, the one pleasure I had left in this godforsaken world! "Calm down, I'll buy you another one" my dad says. Excuse me? Buy another one? What does that do for me now? What about the one you just ate? I am still one ice cream carton short and let me say, I am not fucking happy about it! Everything I've been looking forward to has been thrown out the window, and all I've been left with is an empty carton and empty dreams! I can't believe this is happening to me again. I am just so freaking done...this is why I'm moving out.
